This idea comes from our friend, Kathleen Ballos. Repurpose plastic coin cases (originally intended for collectable coins) into miniature shadow boxes filled with lucky green and gold trinkets! We used lots of four-leaf clovers to especially celebrate St. Patrick's Day, but feel free to use your favorite lucky symbol or charm.

  • Green cardstock (glitter or plain)
  • Plastic coin cases
  • Pencil
  • Scissors
  • Green confetti or glitter
  • Four-leaf clovers millinery leaves

  1. Trace the coin case onto green cardstock and cut out. You will need to cut it slightly smaller than the pencil line for the cardstock to fit inside the coin case.

  2. Put the cardstock circle into the coin case (with a handwritten note on the back, if you like!) and add four-leaf clovers, glitter, and/or confetti to make a mini good luck charm. Close the lid onto the case and repeat! We left everything loose inside so they move around when shaken, but you can glue them down if you prefer.
