Hot Honey Lemonade with Ginger

Hot water is just the right medium for balancing the soothing sweetness of old-fashioned honey-drop candies with the tingle of fresh lemon juice and ginger syrup.

Directions

  1. Pour 2 tablespoons simple syrup in each of four heatproof glasses or mugs. Add 1 tablespoon lemon juice, 1 teaspoon honey, and 3/4 cup boiling water to each; stir until honey dissolves.

  2. Stick 3 cloves into each lemon wedge; drop a wedge and 3 candies into each drink. Serve immediately.

Cook's Notes

If you prefer, you can sweeten this drink with extra honey instead of the honey-drop candies.
