Perhaps you'd like to start your airplane meal with gravlax, shrimp and egg mayonnaise and some chilled poached king salmon?

The sky is the limit for North End Grill's executive chef Eric Korsh! Starting tomorrow Delta is teaming up with the renowned New York City chef to offer an exclusive in-flight menu to its Delta One customers.

North End Grill is part of restauranteur Danny Meyer's Union Square Hospitality Group which has been partnering with Delta to bring regional and seasonal food to airline passengers. The new menu features some of North End Grill's signature dishes, including pink sea trout with turnips and pearl onions, short rib cannelloni with port, black truffle, wild mushrooms and Parmesan, and the restaurant's classic opera cake. No mere chef designed menu cooked in an airport commissary, the meals are being prepared in the Union Square Events kitchen in Chelsea.

Korsch has created breakfast, lunch, and dinner menus that will be offered in the Delta One cabin on select trans-Atlantic routes and westbound flights from New York's JFK airport to Los Angeles and San Francisco. You'll be able to pair your food with a brand new fall drinks list as well.

All of a sudden airline food doesn't sound that bad, does it?!
