Wish all of your friends and family, "Eid Mubarak!" with this purple paper garland. You can also create a double-garland by making the Eid Crescent & Star Garland pictured right.

What you need

How to do it

Part 1

Step 1

Using the circle cutter, punch 4-inch circles from purple cardstock; cut ten circles.

Step 2

Add a gold foil letter to each circle to spell out "Eid Mubarak."

Step 3

Using a hole punch and moving clockwise, punch holes at the 1pm and 11pm marks on the circle.

Step 4

Cut three stars, each 4 inches in size, from the glittered cardstock.

Step 5

Punch two holes (side by side) at one of the points of the star. (Tip: punching and threading two holes helps to stabilize the garland and prevent it from twisting the wrong way around.)

Step 6

Thread twine through a star then onto each of the circles spelling out "Eid." Add another star and thread through the remaining circles; finish the garland by threading the last star.

Step 7

Knot the ends, and hang to display.

Step 8

Optional: follow our directions to make the Eid Crescent & Star Garland.
