Lantern-Shaped Eid Money Envelopes
During Eid al-Fitr, small children happily receive monetary tokens from their family elders. This year, tuck a few small bills into these glittered paper holders, and the granting of "Eid money" will be made all the more special.

- Purple glittered cardstock
- Gold glittered cardstock
- Vellum paper
- Hot glue gun
- Gold and white twine
- Hole punch
Print the lantern gift envelope template and trace onto glittered cardstock paper; cut out the entire shape including the center window.
Cut out two squares from the vellum, sized to match the lantern window.
Using hot glue gun, glue three edges of the vellum together. Tuck money inside and glue the last edge closed.
Glue vellum pocket to the back of cardstock lantern.
Punch a hole at the top handle of the lantern and thread twine.
For the back side: cut out another lantern, including its window, and glue to vellum pocket and front lantern.
