Pennant Cake Topper for Personalized Messages

Raise your party flags for this teeny-tiny cake decoration. Paired with shimmery gold tassels and fringe, it ends the celebration on a guaranteed sweet note.

This pennant topper can be customized for any celebration. Here, we used it for an A+ graduation party, incorporating school colors and class year. At your party, use it to extend the color palette or theme, or display a sweet surprising message for the guest of honor.

  • Double-stick tape
  • Wood skewers
  • Cardstock in at least two colors
  • Gold metallic fringe (optional)


  1. Punch out a few pennants in different colors with the pennant garland punch.
  2. Attach the pennants together to make a small garland.
  3. Using the gold glitter glue pen, write a message on the garland.
  4. Tape each end to a wood skewer and insert into your cake.
  5. Optional: To make fringed paper, use scissors to fringe the bottom 2/3 of 3" metallic gold tissue strips; affix with tape to the cake stand or behind the cake topper garland.
