Chalkboard Utensil Holders

Need help organizing your surplus of forks, spoons, and knives? A set of these terracotta pots-turned-utensil holders are the perfect solution. Whether they're for your kitchen or an outdoor barbeque, the chalk labels can be wiped clean, and used time and time again.

  1. Apply two coats of chalkboard paint to the outside and inner walls of a terracotta pot; let dry between coats.
  2. Apply adhesive stencil to outer rim of painted terracotta pot.
  3. Using a dauber brush, dab a small amount of satin paint onto the stencil. (Tip: For a smoother stroke, dab excess paint on a paper towel before each application.)
  4. Apply two coats of satin paint to the stencil. Continue the stencil design around the rim to your desired length. Remove stencil and let completely dry before using.
