Etched Glass Tumblers

Personalize your tumblers with etching cream. We fashioned semicircles on each of these to give a cheeky glass-half-full impression. Rinse them after crafting and they're ready to be filled up with a cold drink.

When using etching cream, wear disposable plastic gloves and an old shirt with long sleeves, and be sure to work in a well-ventilated area.


  • Glass tumblers (Sittning glasses, in assorted colors, $5 for 2,

  • Masking tape

  • Latex gloves

  • Martha cream and brush (Glass etching cream, by Martha Stewart Crafts, $32 for 6 oz.,


  1. Tape off areas on each tumbler that you don't want frosted, smoothing out any air bubbles.

  2. Brush a thick, even coat of cream onto glass; let stand 20 minutes.

  3. Rinse off under cool running water, then remove tape. Wash tumblers with soap and water before using.
