Calvados Soaking Syrup

Make 1 1/2 cups

Use this syrup when making our Gingerbread Semifreddo.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup sugar

  • 5 tablespoons Calvados or brandy

Directions

  1. In saucepan over medium-high heat, combine sugar and 1 cup water. Cook, stirring occasionally, until sugar is dissolved, 4 to 5 minutes. Remove from heat; cool. Stir in Calvados.

Variations

Can replace Calvados with brandy.
