Iced Green Tea With Cucumber

Makes about 1 1/2 cups

The nuanced flavor of green tea is best served simply chilled rather than with ice.


  • 1 ½ cups boiling water

  • 4 teaspoons loose green tea (or 4 tea bags)

  • 2 tablespoons borage

  • 5 slices (¼ inch each) peeled cucumber

  • Borage and unpeeled cucumber slices, for garnish


  1. Pour water over tea and borage. Steep for 3 minutes. Strain. Add peeled cucumber slices, and refrigerate. Remove cucumber, and add garnish.
