Mother's Day Paper Tulip Cards

Do nature one better and give Mom everlasting tulips, complete with messages from the heart. With a few folds of colored paper and a piece of wire, you have a beautiful Mother's Day greeting.

materials

  • Medium-weight colored papers

  • Double-sided tape

  • Cloth-covered floral wire

  • Craft glue

steps

  1. Cut out a square piece of paper 5 inches or larger. Fold in half, open, then fold in half again; unfold.

  2. Apply tape along each of the creases as shown. Pinch creases so each piece of tape adheres and paper pops up into a cupped shape.

  3. Using scissors, cut edges into a petal shape as shown. Poke a small hole in bottom of folded flower.

  4. Fold over tip of wire, insert into bottom of flower, and glue to secure.

  5. Using scissors, cut out paper leaves; write messages on them. Glue leaves onto wire.
