Skincare Guru Tata Harper: Her Favorite Things
Tata Harper loves collecting: Her home, set on 1,200 bucolic acres in Vermont’s Champlain Valley, is packed with flea-market treasures and beloved family heirlooms. “Practically nothing in my house is new,” she says. What are always fresh, however, are the ingredients in Harper’s luxurious, all-natural skin-care line. She grows many of the botanicals and manufactures the products right on her property. “It’s amazing to see flowers growing in the garden one day, then being processed and used in our formulas a week later,” she says. “It’s the local quality we wouldn’t get if we outsourced production.”
“I gravitate toward nudes, like the RMS Beauty cream eye shadow in Solar. It’s certified organic. I pair it with bold-red lipstick.”
C. Kay Cummings Gold Lustre Mint Trafalgar Squares. “My current favorite chocolates.”
Tata Harper Love Potion. “I wanted to create a fragrance without synthetic chemicals. It’s a blend of 10 aphrodisiac oils, including jasmine, grapefruit, and cedarwood.”
