Apron Pockets

Whether you’re cooking or crafting, it’s nice to have an apron that suits your needs. Customize the configuration of pockets to keep all your favorite supplies handy.

  • Assorted mid-weight (6 to 8 ounces) denims, chambrays, and indigo linens

  • Sewing machine and supplies


  1. To add desired pocket or pockets, follow dimensions in diagrams here to create a template on paper; cut out. Place on fabric; cut out.

  2. Fold top edge under 1/2 inch, press, then fold another 1/2 inch and press. Hem top edge. Fold all other sides under 1/4 inch and press. Repeat for all desired pockets.

  3. Pin pocket to desired spot on apron (or to a larger pocket). Sew in place.
