Yes, this is simple. I was looking for how to have blueberries with the syrup and am combining with strawberries, so that should do it. I understood the general principle of the sugar drawing out the liquid inside the strawberries, however I never had looked it up to have a timeframe. Thanks for sharing for those who have seen this done but are not aware of the details. How long they can be saved is helpful too.

Are you supposed to be stirring the berries while they are heating on the stove?
