Layer pieces from small to large. Liquid goes at the bottom.

Combining smoothie ingredients in the wrong order can cause frozen fruit and ice to get caught in the blender’s blades. Start by adding the yogurt, or a base liquid such as water, juice, or milk, to the blender. Next, put in smaller ingredients, like diced mango, and top off the blender with larger ones, such as hulled strawberries and ice cubes. This way, you won’t have to jostle the components around with a spatula to unclog the blades. Too many frozen ingredients are another reason the blender might be stalling; use a mix of fresh and fro- zen fruit to ensure a smoother blend.
