Cook's Notes

Once cooled, unfilled pastry wreath can be frozen, wrapped well with plastic wrap, for up to 1 month. Thaw before using, and crisp in a 350-degree oven for about 15 minutes; let cool completely before filling.

    I saw Martha make this on Martha Bakes, and had to try it. I'd never made pate a choix before, but it come out beautifully, tasted great, looked great, and was a big hit on Mother's Day. I will definitely make this again!
