Nonalcoholic Michelada


Tomato paste lends richness -- and a healthy serving of the antioxidant lycopene -- to this citrusy refresher. Kombucha, the popular fermented tea, delivers a satisfying fizz and gut-friendly probiotics.


  • Lime juice

  • Sea salt, like Himalayan or Alaea

  • 1 ½ tablespoons tomato paste

  • Ice

  • 10 ounces kombucha


  1. Wet a glass rim with lime juice and dip into sea salt. Add 2 tablespoons lime juice and tomato paste and stir. Top with ice and kombucha. Stir to combine.

Cook's Notes

To spike this drink, swap the kombucha for lager. Brooklyn Brewery has a floral aroma and smooth finish.
