Martha of course! She has gone through a lot and she always comes out ok. She is a strong woman who made it ok to be a great homemaker. She is not only an icon but a definite role model for many women.
My engagement ring- for it's beauty and all the promise of dreams coming true in the future that it held. All of those dreams are now coming true and when I look at it I think of all the meaning behind it and the romantic way my husband proposed. Ok, that and my swiffer vac because I have a 3 yr old and an 8 month old who both love "O" cereal! :o)
Life is a journey filled with good and bad times and we must embrace and try to learn from both. Live each day to your fullest- you never know when your last will be. Always leave your loved ones with the knowledge that you care.
