Designer Necklaces with Julie Pennington Hardee
Viewer Julie Pennington Hardee works at the North Carolina Museum of Art and as a photographer. She studied general fine arts with an emphasis in graphic design at Henderson State University in Arkadelphia, Arkansas. Julie makes her own printed materials, including business cards, tags for necklaces, labels for packages, and holiday cards. Today, she joins Martha to show how to make the must-have accessory of the year: bead necklaces. In the segment, Julie uses beads from sunshinecrafts.com.
Collector Peter Arnell
Peter Arnell, Martha's neighbor and one of her best friends, is a brand inventor who is perhaps best known for creating the brand DKNY for the Donna Karan company. He is also an avid collector and a hobbyist. Today, Peter shares some of his incredible collections, including robots, trains, and sound-communication devices.

Dollars for Darfur
Nick Anderson and Ana Slavin, juniors at the Northfield Mount Hermon School in Gill, Massachusetts, are spearheading Dollars for Darfur, which uses online social networks such as myspace.com and facebook.com to rally high school kids across the country to raise funds for and create awareness of the crisis in Darfur, Africa. There are currently 600 high schools across the country involved in Dollars for Darfur; the organization has raised $20,000, and more than $1 million more has been pledged.
