Simple Syrup
Used to sweeten lemonade, cocktails, and iced tea, this syrup is aptly named. Combine 1 cup each sugar and water in a saucepan; bring to a boil over high heat. Remove from heat; cool to room temperature before using. Refrigerate, covered, up to six months.
