What You'll Learn This Week

Outdoor entertaining can be simple and special. Every week we'll focus on a new technique or skill designed to have you hosting the ultimate barbecue bash in time for July 4 -- and having fun all season.

Plus, ask questions as you go and upload photos of your finished projects! We're all doing it together and the summer fun starts now.

Start an Herb Garden

Many recipes in this workshop will call for fresh herbs, especially basil, parsley, and thyme.

Get the freshest flavors by growing your own, either in your garden or in a window planter. Begin planting now, and enjoy them all summer.

Entertaining Tip

bedroom makeovers

Chilling Wine Quickly
Instead of simply placing room-temperature bottle into an ice bucket and waiting an hour or so for it to chill properly, fill the bucket partially with cold water and ice before adding the bottle.

This will speed up the chilling process (to about 20 minutes) because more surface area gets covered.
