The goal of Teach for America is to eliminate educational inequity by enlisting our nation's most promising future leaders and placing them in schools where poverty is high and in areas where education is subpar. More than 17,000 people have joined the Teach for America corps since 1990. Members have been placed in more than 1,000 schools in 26 regions nationwide. Special thanks to Jason Kamras for sharing this helpful information.
