Teach for America
Teach for America, founded in 1990 by Wendy Kopp, is an organization that recruits high-achieving recent college graduates of all academic majors to commit to teaching for two years in public schools. The goal of Teach for America is to eliminate educational inequity by enlisting our nation's most promising future leaders and placing them in schools where poverty is high and in areas where education is subpar.
