Maura Tierney
Maura Tierney was born on February 3, 1965, in Boston. She attended the Circle in the Square theatre school at New York University. During her years at NYU, she performed in several plays, including "Come Back to the Five and Dime," "Jimmy Dean, Jimmy Dean," "Baby With the Bathwater," "Danny and the Deep Blue Sea," "Talking With," and "Food." Landing her first breakthrough role in 1995, Tierney was cast as ambitious overachiever Lisa Miller on the NBC sitcom "News Radio." In 2000, Tierney joined the cast of the long-running NBC medical drama "ER" as nurse Abby Lockhart. Today, she joins Martha to make Seafood Chowder and to chat about her new movie, "Semi-Pro."
Vinnie Simeone
Vinnie Simeone has worked in the horticultural field for more than 20 years. He received an AAS degree in ornamental horticulture from SUNY Farmingdale and a BS in ornamental horticulture from the University of Georgia. Vinnie's specialized expertise is in woody plant ID, culture, and use and selection of superior varieties of trees and shrubs; he is also an experienced lecturer, instructor, and horticultural consultant. He has spoken to many groups nationwide and has appeared on several garden shows. Vinnie currently works in public horticulture, managing Planting Fields Arboretum State Historic Park in New York; he is also a horticultural consultant. Today, he joins Martha to share facts about the beautiful camellia plant. Special thanks to Camellia Forest Nursery in Chapel Hill, North Carolina, for supplying the camellia plants for today's show.

Peter Glassman from Books of Wonder, an independent children's bookstore in New York City, is here to show and tell five books that encourage children's imaginations and creativity.
