Today's Guests, Products, and Services

Christina Applegate
Christina Applegate charmed theatergoers as the eternally optimistic and romantically challenged Charity Hope Valentine in Broadway's "Sweet Charity." Today, the Emmy winner puts the icing on the cake -- literally -- when she decorates Halloween Creepcakes with Martha, a wonderful activity that was featured in Kids magazine.

The Great Pumpkin Patch
It's part farmers' market, part country fair, and part museum when the Great Pumpkin Patch opens each fall, showing off its 400 varieties of pumpkins, squashes, and gourds. Every autumn, 40,000 guests come to visit the farm, featured in the October 2005 issue of Martha Stewart Living, in the quiet town of Arthur, Illinois, where the Condill family has worked for two generations. Today, Mac Condill tells Martha about all the varieties thriving on the farm, including some examples of pumpkins and gourds with unique histories and strange growing habits, and brings along three very special pumpkins.

Fall Cooking with Sara Foster
Years ago, Martha and Sara Foster worked together in Martha's catering business, and today they reunite in the kitchen to make a recipe from Sara's book, "Fresh Every Day." Sara, who is the owner of the Foster's Market stores in Durham and Chapel Hill, North Carolina, and also wrote "The Foster's Market Cookbook," takes advantage of the fall harvest to make Roasted Acorn Squash Salad.

Mount Desert Island Marathon
The route that runners undertake for the Mount Desert Island Marathon in Bar Harbor, Maine, is one of the most beautiful courses in the country, although all the rolling hills can be a challenge for even the most in-shape competitors. In 2005, Martha was invited to officiate the start of the race and crown the winner. While she was there, she met Sally Hammond and Martha Strickland, who join her in the studio today. Plus, meet Gary Allen, the founder and director of the race.
