Currently, she dedicates much of her time to Happy Hearts Fund, the charitable foundation she established. Donna Garde
Donna Garde is the park superintendent at Lake Tawakoni State Park in Wills Point, Texas, where the web was found on August 6. The web spans more than 650 feet and is home to thousands of spiders, although only 12 families of spiders have been officially recorded. The dominant spider is the long-jawed orb weaver, and the most interesting observation has been that, unlike most spiders, which are normally solitary, these spiders are tolerant of the "communal" environment. Scientists have noticed the spider population in the web has declined and, unfortunately, the first hard freeze will kill most of the spiders.
