Candy Cats

Ingredients

  • 2 black licorice caramels
  • 2 sprinkled berry candies
  • 4 sunflower seeds (in the shell)
  • 2 black licorice laces, cut into 2-inch pieces

Directions

  1. Roll each caramel into a 3-inch-long oblong shape for the bodies. The sprinkled berry candies will serve as the heads.
  2. Using a craft knife, scrape a few nonpareils off bottom of each berry candy, then stick bottom of 1 onto each caramel, pressing gently. Scrape some nonpareils from 2 sides of top of each berry candy for the ears, and insert 1 sunflower seed into each side, pointy end out.
  3. Insert 1 licorice-lace tail into bottom of each caramel. (Cats will keep at room temperature for up to 1 week.)
