Today's Topics and Guests

  • Tune in to our Hidden Gardens segment. Every week, we discover hidden gardens across the country! Today's discovery is the Cleveland Botanical Garden in Ohio! Kim and Betsy will talking with Jennifer McDowell, public programs coordinator of the garden. Jennifer will discuss the garden's annual Winter Show and Blooms-to-Go program. Blooms-to-Go is a project in which they  make small fresh-flower arrangements to be delivered to those in need on Thanksgiving.

  • In honor of the annual "Taste of the NFL" event, we have on air Nancy Longo, chef and owner of Pierpoint Restaurant in Baltimore. She'll be representing the Baltimore Ravens! Today, she'll discuss a Baltimore specialty -- crabs with tomato-stuffed shitake mushroom tempura, served over Panang curry, corn, and sweet potato ragout.

  • For our weekly Back to Basics segment, we get acquainted with a traditional hobby, cooking technique, or other basic element of our lifestyle. Today, Kim and Betsy will be talking with farmers from Hain Pure Protein's Plainville Farms -- where the Martha Stewart Young Turkeys are from! They'll discuss life on a turkey farm, different types of turkeys that you can buy, and more!

  • Karen Bussen, entertaining expert, owner of an event-planning company, and author of "Simple Stunning: Parties at Home," is on air. She'll talk about hosting Thanksgiving on a budget.

  • Got puppy troubles? Kitty worries? Ask Dr. Marty (Martha's vet) all your pet questions!

  • Ivy Manning, author of "The Adaptable Feast: Satisfying Meals for Vegetarians, Vegans, and Omnivores at Your Table," will tell you how to satisfy everyone at your Thanksgiving feast.

  • Get your career into gear with Maggie Mistal, career consultant for Martha Stewart Living Radio.

  • Kim and Betsy are always on the search for authentic America -- dishes, hobbies, and destinations. Today's guest is Richard Pickering, associate director for corporate and foundation relations at Plimoth Plantation in Plymouth, Massachusetts. The plantation is a living history museum of the Wampanoag Homeland and 17th-century Plymouth Colony.

  • Suzanne and Lauren McGrath are a mom-and-daughter design duo who run the blog "Good Bones Great Pieces." Suzanne used to be a style editor and producer at Martha Stewart Living Television, so she's got a long history of style work behind her. Lauren used to be a fashion features writer for Teen Vogue. They'll talk about setting a fabulous Thanksgiving table.

  • Is your pup getting a cold nose during these changing fall days? Wondering why your dog is acting up? Tune in to Greg Kleva, host of "It's a Dog's Life," which airs every Thursday at 8 p.m.

  • Tune in to our weekly Cooking School segment. Kim and Betsy are learning about a new culinary technique, cuisine, or food trend! Today's guest is Tom Mylan, butcher for Diner and Marlow & Sons in Brooklyn. He'll teach the ladies how to spatchcock, a method of preparing turkey so it can be cooked quickly.
