French Method for Perfect White Rice
Martha Stewart's Cooking School, Episode 106
- Coarse salt
- 1 cup long-grain white rice, rinsed
- Unsalted butter, for serving (optional)
- Coarse salt, for serving (optional)
- Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil over high heat. Add rice and cook, stirring occasionally, until tender, 11 to 12 minutes. Drain and serve immediately. Serve with butter and salt, if desired.
