Yield Makes 7 1/2 cups
- 2 teaspoons black food coloring
- 1/2 cup water
- 1 pound roasted peanuts, in shell
- Preheat oven to 250 degrees. Place food coloring and water in a small spray bottle, close bottle, and shake to combine. Spread peanuts on a rimmed baking sheet, and spray with food-coloring mixture, turning peanuts, until shells are completely covered. Bake peanuts until shells are dry, about 20 minutes.
