Measure and cut the watercolor paper to make two 20-inch squares. Use a bone folder to fold 1 square as shown in this diagram; in the last step, measure four inches up from center and mark a line to each corner and cut along that line. Unfold shape; it will be a star. Repeat to create a second star.
Protect your work surface with kraft paper. Coat each star with spray adhesive, then replace kraft paper with a fresh sheet. Apply a coating of fine glitter; if desired, respray, and add a topping of glass glitter (changing kraft paper again) for added texture and sparkle.
Spray each star with sealant. Let dry. Print templates for supports. Trace onto watercolor paper, and cut out; hot-glue supports into place as shown on the diagram on the template printout.
Position 1 star on top of the other to create an 8-point star.
