Donnie's Sauteed Cabbage
Donnie Yance, an herbalist, nutritionist, and author, makes this cabbage dish to go with his Lemon Broiled Tempeh. He recommends using organic ingredients whenever possible.

- 3 tablespoons organic unsalted butter
- 6 cups red cabbage, thinly sliced
- 3 to 4 tablespoons maple syrup
- Melt butter in a medium-size pot. Add cabbage, cover, and cook on medium heat for 30 to 35 minutes. Stir occasionally to avoid sticking. Add maple syrup, and cook for 5 minutes more.
