Newspaper Bin

The week's newspapers will be easier to get tied and out to the curb on recycling day if your recycling bin is preloaded with twine. Add four casters to the bottom of a 14-by-12-inch wooden crate, then paint it. On each side, to hold the twine, attach a 2-inch metal cleat (centered); add 4 screw eyes to the top rim. Before filling the bin, run lengths of twine loosely across the box and through each pair of opposing screw eyes, then secure on cleats.
