This airy shelter can be moved wherever you need to shield tender plants or seedlings from full sunlight until they're established.
Martha Stewart Living, March 2002
Cut four pieces of standard 1-by-2-inch wood to a length of 28 inches long to make the shelter's legs.
Cut more 1-by-2 or standard lath strips to 36-inch lengths; using wood glue and finishing nails, attach to legs 1 inch apart along the entire length. (We used a 1-inch piece of wood as a spacer to align strips without having to measure.)
Join the two lath panels with two galvanized butt hinges, attaching them to the legs with 1-inch screws.
