Funkin Witch Carousel

Turn a Funkin into a frightfully fun spinning witch carousel you can use for Halloween year after year.

Tools and Materials
Witch template
Printer
Plain printer paper
Pencil
Funkin
Utility knife
Pumpkin carving tools
1/4-inch dowel cut into three 12-inch pieces
Craft glue
Paint brush
Hot-glue gun and hot-glue sticks
Decorative moss
Black and orange glitter
Battery-powered light
Motorized lazy Susan (optional)

Funkin Witch Carousel How-To
1. Print the witch template on plain printer paper. To transfer the design onto the Funkin, shade the back of the template with a pencil. Place the template onto the Funkin, shaded side down, and trace the witch outline with a sharp pencil. Repeat to create 3 witch outlines on the Funkin.

2. Draw a scalloped line around the top and bottom of the Funkin. Spin the Funkin to create a line all the way around.
Tip: Rest your elbow, then your wrist on the table as you hold the pencil in place on the Funkin.

3. Lightly trace the lines and shapes you have drawn with a utility knife.

4. Fully carve the top, bottom, and witch silhouettes from pumpkin.

5. Paint glue onto pumpkin top and bottom and glitter with orange glitter. Glitter the witch silhouettes with black glitter.

6. Using a hot-glue gun, attach the three witch cutouts to center of dowels. Gouge three 1/4-inch holes into the base of the Funkin, evenly spaced around the center and equidistant from the center and edge.

7. Insert dowels into holes and secure with hot glue. Place scalloped top on top of dowels, using more hot glue to hold it in place.

8. Fill bottom of Funkin with moss, and place a battery-powered light inside. Place Funkin on a motorized lazy Susan if you would like it to spin.
