Prepare breakfast in bed (or brunch for friends) the night before. This savory egg dish, called a strata, can be assembled quickly at night, then popped in the oven in the morning. Slices of bread, Swiss and cheddar cheeses, and chives are layered, drenched with an egg mixture, and left to soak overnight. Serve with bacon, and, if you like, fruit salad.
