Light up your little ones' night -- and their bags -- with bright-eyed bats. Coat the bottom of a paper plate with bold, reflective paint.
Martha Stewart Living, October 2006
- Make bats out of construction paper (click here for a template). Create eyes with a 1/8-inch hole punch or nail, first in bats then in plate.
- Affix bats to plate with craft glue. Stick bulbs from battery-operated LED lights through each eye.
- Near the bottom of a black paper bag, cut a hole for battery pack to slide through. Place battery in bag. Attach plate to bag over hole with craft glue.
