Pruning away the dead branches or overgrowth on small shrubs is an easy chore requiring a simple pair of handheld pruning shears, but trees with thicker branches at tall heights are more problematic. This tool is designed to allow those branches to be pruned cleanly, efficiently and with a minimum of effort.
The long arm, or ''long-reach,'' pruner is topped off with bypass blades, which are beveled on one side and flat on the other. This system allows for a clean cut that lessens the chances of infection, fungus, or infestation in the tree. The long-arm pruner is handle-operated, requires little exertion, and can extend to twice its length. In addition, the handle twists, which in turn rotates the blades, permitting cuts from different angles.
