For a quick, no-carve frontporch display, paint a bunch of small pumpkins in rich reds, purples, and golds.

- Start by priming each one with white acrylic paint; let dry.
- Then paint each pumpkin with a coat of your color of choice. Pressed leaves can be painted with one coat, too.
- After they’ve dried, arrange the leaves underneath the pumpkins on a mantle or bench, as shown.
