Much of Hannah Milman's work is inspired by nature -- acorns, pinecones, eggs, seashells, and cranberries are her paint and canvas. "I'm always treasure hunting wherever I go," Hannah says. When she turns her artist's eye to one of these familiar objects, it becomes something else entirely. Hannah, the editorial director of crafts, is a graduate of Rhode Island School of Design, and has worked at Martha Stewart Living since its second issue. She has set the standard for MSLO's crafts stories, often reinterpreting arts that are all but lost. Hannah and her staff offer original ideas and clear how-tos, but she also encourages crafters to do things their own way. "I want to give people inspiration," she says, "so they can create something personal."
