Cookbook Editor Judith Jones
Living in Paris after World War II, Judith Jones reveled in everyday French culinary delights. After returning to the United States, she published Julia Child's "Mastering the Art of French Cooking." The rest is publishing history. Today, she joins Martha to chat about her new memoir, "The Tenth Muse: My Life in Food," and bake Schrafft's Butterscotch Cookies. Martha also shows Judith a creative way to package holiday cookies.
Pop-Ups
Pop-up book artists Robert Sabuda and Matthew Reinhart join Martha to make a Reindeer Pop-Up Card. Special thanks to Robert and Matthew for giving copies of "Star Wars, a Pop-up Guide to the Galaxy," "The Chronicles of Narnia," and "Winter in White" to our audience.
Handmade Holidays: Uggs
Martha makes Felted Embellished UGG Boots. Martha's deer-embellished UGG Boots will be online until December 14 as part of the Art and Sole auction benefiting St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. To bid, visit uggaustralia.com.
Reindeer with Jim Knox
Special thanks to Jim Knox of Connecticut's Beardsley Zoo for sharing reindeer facts. See more of Jim on "Jim Knox's Wild Zoofari," a PBS wildlife series that teaches kids about conservation. The reindeer on today's show are from Santa's Workshop, a theme park in North Pole, New York.
Good Thing
Martha shares a holiday Good Thing: Candy Cane Reindeer.
Evian
