HOW TO APPLY There are two steps to applying for a grant or support from The Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia Foundation: STEP ONE: Letter of Inquiry All organizations must submit a Letter of Inquiry (two pages maximum). This letter should include: 1) A description of the organization 2) An outline of the project, including a) Who the project will benefit b) How you are going to accomplish your goals c) What outcomes are expected 3 ) A brief overview of your budget, income sources, and expenses for this projectLetters of Inquiry may be submitted at any time and are accepted on an ongoing basis. They may take up to eight (8) weeks to be reviewed. Please submit Letters of Inquiry to: The Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia Foundation 11 West 42nd Street, 25th Floor New York, New York 10036 or by email. We will not accept Letters of Inquiry delivered by fax. STEP TWO: Proposal If a Letter of Inquiry is chosen for further consideration, the organization will be invited to submit a full proposal. We use the New York Regional Association of Grantmakers (NYRAG). (You can download the application at www.nyrag.org.) Invited applicants have up to one year to submit a full proposal. It might take twelve (12) weeks or more to receive a funding decision from us. Unsolicited full-grant proposals will not be reviewed. SMALL GRANTS Applications for grants of $1,000 or less will be considered on the basis of the Letter of Inquiry alone and do not require a full proposal.
