Syrup and Waffle
When KatrinaLynne's 3-year-old daughter wanted to by syrup for Halloween, she assumed she was in for a difficult and time-consuming project. Once she got started, she was surprised to find that she could create a syrup costume, as well as a companion waffle costume for her son, in just a few days, and for very little money. The syrup costume is made from brown felt, yellow fabric, ribbon, and paint, and the top is an empty cookie container painted yellow. For the waffle, KatrinaLynne used a 1-inch foam square, on which she drew the waffle's gridlike pattern and used a craft knife to cut out each 2-by-2-inch square. She used brown marker for the lines and yellow chalk for to color the inside; the syrup on top is made from felt and the butter is foam she colored yellow.
