PT's Story:

PT is probably the single most remarkable rescue we have made. If you ever have a doubt that God exists then this man can prove it. My husband and I had gone to Home Depot early one saturday morning. On the way home, my husband drives down a very curvy, two lane, back road. All of a sudden he slams on brakes, cars are lined up down the road. I look out to see what in the world is the problem. There is a mangy, matted cocker standing in the middle of the road. He was almost hit. So there I am in my Carolina Cockers t-shirt, with my Carolina Cockers tags on my car chasing this dog down the road. He ran to a house nearby and so we drove up in the driveway. The owner came out and I begged him to let me take PT home and clean him up. He let me do that but I had to take him back that afternoon. (After microchipping him to me!) A month later the man calls me, he has run into hard times and will we keep PT for a while. We did with the agreement that if he didn't get his life straight in two months then PT was ours. PT is our cocker now and ready to find a home. He is 9 years old but no one told him that, he still thinks he's 2. He has odd habits like dropping his tennis ball in the pool and barking at it until you get it out and throw it. He gives kisses and loves to be hugged. PT has MANY years left as he is active and playful. He will do anything for his tennis ball so that keeps him going! Apply now to give this man a home because I am in LOVE!!! Adoption Process:

$250 Adoption donation plus $50 transport donation. We move pure bred cockers from the south to NJ/NY in an effort to find them great and loving homes. We require an application to be filled out at www.carolinacockers.comIf you fall in love with one of our cockers please put in an application and we will get right back with you.

About the Shelter:

A great passion for the breed is our reason, unfortunately in the southern states there is a never ending supply of pure bred cockers left to die in county animal shelters. We go get them, spay/neuter them, get them fully vetted and then search the world for the right home for each individual cocker. We match homes with the right cocker and have a 99% success ratio because we know our cockers. Each one has been temperament tested and we have worked extensively with each one. We can tell you ALL about them!
