1. 1 Day Ahead
2. Bake scones; let cool completely and store in an airtight container at room temperature.
3. Assemble potato and bacon cake (do not bake). Refrigerate, tightly wrapped with foil.
4. Slice mushrooms, asparagus, and shallot. Refrigerate separately, covered with damp paper towels and wrapped tightly with plastic.
5. Slice tomatoes and onions and arrange in baking dish. Refrigerate, covered tightly with plastic wrap.
6. Assemble sandwiches on a rimmed baking sheet. Refrigerate, covered with plastic wrap.
7. 90 minutes before
8. Bake potato and bacon cake on lower rack and tomato-onion casserole on upper rack of oven.
9. Prepare mushrooms and asparagus; toss with sherry vinaigrette. Transfer to a serving dish.
10. 45 minutes before
11. Make batter for Dutch baby.
12. Combine cranberry juice and orange liqueur for cocktails.
13. When guests arrive
14. Prepare and serve cocktails.
15. While potato cake cools, bake sandwiches and cook eggs. Top each sandwich with an egg. Warm scones in oven.
16. Bake Dutch baby when ready for dessert.
