Asian-flavored skirt steak is tenderized in a sherry-soy marinade made with garlic, ginger, brown sugar, and cinnamon. It is served alongside Napa cabbage salad and wide rice noodles tossed with cilantro pesto and pine nuts.

Sauteed Pear Parfaits

1. Prepare marinade; place steak in it for at least 30 minutes.
2. Meanwhile, make pesto for noodles and dressing for salad.
3. Slice vegetables.
4. Broil steak, and serve.
5. Saute pears, and layer with sour cream for parfaits.
