Fabric Wrapper for Plant Pots

Plants make an ideal gift at this time of year, but foil wrappers can detract from their earthy beauty. Instead, cover plastic pots in a neutral-colored fabric such as muslin or burlap. Fold a square of material in half (for an 8-inch pot, we used a 21-inch square). Using fabric scissors, cut a wavy border. Set pot in center of fabric. Print plant-care instructions on a gift tag, and thread onto a piece of twine. Wrap fabric around pot, and tie with twine.
