Use the surplus from apple season to make tabletop decorations.

For Votive Holders
Place a tea light on an apple; cut around edge with a craft knife. Scoop out flesh with a melon baller, and insert candle.

For Place Cards
Using decorative-edged scissors, cut leaves from green paper.

Put 1 end of a 3-inch-length of floral wire between 2 leaves; use craft glue to paste together. Repeat with opposite end of wire and 2 more leaves.

Write guest name on 1 leaf. Wrap wire around apple stem.
