Drilling Drainage Holes
 That colorful little ceramic pot may have been a bargain at the flea market, but it would be a lot more useful with a drainage hole. Take hammer and nail to it, and it will shatter. But it's not impossible to alter an otherwise uncompromising pot. A high-speed rotary tool with a special cutting bit for ceramics prevents chipping and cracking. On high speed, pierce the pot in the desired spot; then move the tool in a circular motion to widen holes as needed. For a hanging planter, make three small holes along a pot's edge, and insert wire as shown. Twist the tops of the wire together, shape into a little loop, and hang from a hook. Also Try...Next
