Basic Baby Kit

From:

Martha Stewart Baby

A terry-cloth kit with baby's scissors, nail clippers, comb, and thermometer is a caretaker's lifesaver. The washable kit rolls up and fits neatly into small spaces, like the pocket of a diaper bag.

Fold a washcloth over, leaving a 1 1/2-inch edge on one side. (Wash new cloths before sewing to avoid future shrinkage.) To plot out the width of each channel, lay out the kit items on the folded washcloth. Sew up each channel to form compartments. Tuck the ends of two 8-inch-long ribbons into the seam before sewing up the last edge, so you can tie the kit once it is rolled up.
