Send your children off to trick-or-treat with buckets as sweet as these, and no neighbor will be able to resist filling them with candy. Here's how: For a bucket that is 5 1/4 inches tall and 6 inches in diameter, cut a 12 1/2-by-18-inch piece of crepe paper. For another size bucket, simply double the height and add two inches, then multiply the diameter by three to get the proportions of the paper.

1. Sew a running stitch down one length of the paper, gathering it slightly and knotting it at the end. Using a glue stick, secure the sewn end of the crepe paper to the bottom of the bucket.

2. Wrap paper upward around the bucket, and tuck it inside, pressing it down so it fits snugly (cut two small slits for the handle to poke through).

3. Cover handle by winding a strip of crepe paper cut against the grain (this allows it to become
stretchy).

4. Cut two leaf shapes out of a different color sheet of crepe paper, and glue them together with a piece of covered floral wire sandwiched between. (You can make these with other shapes, such as flowers or butterflies.) Wrap the end of the wire around a pencil to create a spiral effect; wind leaves around the handle.
